Demilune

rather badly by my new scanner.
Grr.
Demilune, slayer of millions, used to be EJ, slain by one. She was killed in a bizarre gardening accident, which has since been linked to the evil Bonobo. When Death came to collect her immortal soul, EJ unleashed a banshee wail of such ferocity that the Reaper was temporarily flayed from existence, allowing EJ to return to her corporeal form.
Death returned for her, but was so impressed by her incendiary vocals
that he made her an offer she couldn't refuse. War, he explained,
was getting old and nuclear. A replacement would soon be needed, and EJ fit the
bill. Death provided her with a double-headed scythe, and renamed her
after this ancient weapon.
The very first Horsewoman of the Apocalypse, Demilune has since fitted
shoulder-amps to magnify her banshee shriek, bringing terror and panic to those
who would oppose her.
